77 & 78: Little Town on the Prairie & These Happy Golden Years

There’s nothing quite like a rotten cold to derail good intentions of highbrow and theological reading.  Also nothing quite like a rotten cold to keep you up late at night in need of a good book for company.

Little Town on the Prairie and These Happy Golden Years filled the void nicely, getting me through a few days of feeling gross and hiding in my bed.  Easy to read.  Good plot.  Good characters.  Highly recommend reading them for the first or tenth time.  It made me long for the simplicity of romance in the pioneer days.

I really enjoyed re-reading these books for the first time in decades.  Still searching for my own Almanzo!
