It’s taken me quite a while to review Maine by J. Courtney Sullivan and I’m not sure why. It’s a nice enough book. A fairly typical ‘three generations of a family together in one house dealing with major emotional trauma’ plot. The characters are nice enough. The writing is good enough. The major emotional trauma isn’t really as major as advertised.
Overall the book is fairly forgettable. A step above chick lit, but basically a summer read. I enjoyed reading it, but couldn’t find anything all that memorable about it.
